Title: Community Affairs SpecialistWorkplace: Discover Financial ServicesAge: 33Commitment to community is at the height of Natalie Di Sabatino’s life whether at work or on her personal time.The Discover Financial Services community affairs specialist is responsible for planning and executing both small and large volunteer projects and events that strengthen her employer's relationships in and out of the office.During the pandemic, Di Sabatino found creative ways to pivot Discover’s volunteer program to a virtual model that still engages associates and offers them a sense of accomplishment. She even created two new programs, a dog treat baking event that challenges employees to make healthy dog treats to be donated to local shelters, and a virtual Bingo event that benefits Special Olympics.At Discover, Di Sabatino serves as a liaison between Discover and its community partners. She also recently achieved a lifelong goal of completing her master’s degree in management with a concentration in marketing from Wilmington University.In 2020, Di Sabatino joined the Delaware Community Foundation’s Strategic Response Fund Vision Grant, where she helps provide insight and innovative solutions to organizations navigating the pandemic’s challenges. She also serves as the chair of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Network, and as a board member of The Partnership, an alliance between the chamber and Intern Delaware.While her day job supports the community, volunteerism has always been a key component of Di Sabatino’s personal life as well. She dedicates time to the Ronald McDonald Camp through the Philadelphia House as well as Connecting Families 4 Justice. She’s also actively involved in state politics as a member of the Delaware Young Democrats, and helped create a bipartisan 2018 Voter Guide in collaboration with Network Delaware, Revitalize Delaware and Delaware Online/The News Journal to help voters stay informed. She was also selected as one of Delaware Today’s 21 Most Eligible Singles of 2021.
