Epic Marketing Consultants Corporation, a full-service marketing and advertising agency, received multiple honors in the
2020 MarCom Awards competition. The recognition is especially meaningful as many businesses and nonprofits struggled in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and the need to effectively tell stories became more important than ever.
The MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals, with entries coming from corporate marketing and communications departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. As part of its work over the past year, Epic Marketing—a recipient of two MarCom Awards and one honorable mention—helped clients in multiple industries forge connections and share their stories through creative communications.
Epic Marketing received a Platinum Award in the Brochure/Consumer Awareness category for work with the
State of Delaware’s Department of Health and Human Services. The collaborative project aimed to boost the state’s healthcare worker recruitment efforts, putting a spotlight on this crucial career path and highlighting healthcare worker benefits, like the student loan repayment program.
Epic Marketing also won a Gold Award in the Brochure/Business to Consumer category for work with the NCPD Federal Credit Union on Long Island, New York. Working with Epic Marketing, NCPDFCU was able to fully educate prospective homeowners on the home-buying process. The custom-sized mortgage booklet shared key action steps and information in a year when the concept of “home sweet home” took on new meaning.
Receiving a Platinum or Gold Award is considered a “tremendous achievement,” according to the MarCom Award judges. In order to receive a Platinum Award, Epic Marketing’s submission was considered by the judges as among “the most outstanding” in the competition and deemed to display “excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness.” A Gold Award submission must “exceed the high standards of the industry norm.”
“Across our industry, the MarCom Awards set the standards for excellence and recognize the bright minds and creative thinkers leading the way. Especially knowing that the MarCom Award statuettes grace some of the top businesses and communication firms in the world, it is a very special honor indeed to receive not one, but two MarCom Awards and an honorable mention,” said Epic Marketing CEO Nancy Dibert in a statement. “We are thrilled to be recognized and to share this honor with our clients.”
Epic Marketing also received an Honorable Mention in the Brochure/Nonprofit category for work with Kendal-Crosslands Communities in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
The international Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) oversees the awards and recognition. The 2020 competition brought more than 5,000 entries from the United States, Canada, and nearly 30 other countries.
