[caption id="attachment_230925" align="aligncenter" width="752"] Bayhealth Mobile Care will bring healthcare to central and southern Delaware to provide care to underserved and difficult-to-reach communities.  | PHOTO COURTESY OF BAYHEALTH[/caption] Bayhealth Mobile Care, a new 36-foot medical Recreational Vehicle (RV), brings health on the go to central and southern Delaware. Soon, the mobile clinic will provide care to underserved and difficult-to-reach communities throughout Delaware. Rosi Wurster, DNP, RN, MPH, NEA-BC, CEN, Bayhealth's chief nurse executive, said, "Bayhealth Mobile Care will ensure that we do everything possible to care for our most vulnerable community members." "Bayhealth's mission is to strengthen the health of our community one life at a time, and sometimes caring for our community's health goes beyond the walls of our outpatient centers and hospitals." Bayhealth's Mobile Care unit was designed and constructed from the ground up to address the health requirements of the communities we serve thanks to generous grants from the Longwood Foundation and the Welfare Foundation. With a private examination room, restroom, and two hearing screening stations, it will provide a variety of health screenings, immunizations, and educational materials to the community. Additionally, the exterior features a retractable awning that can extend several feet to provide shade. Bayhealth invested the additional funds required to acquire a state-of-the-art unit designed specifically to serve the Kent and Sussex county residents. "Bayhealth has offered similar services in central and southern Delaware for many years, and will continue to do so through Bayhealth Mobile Care. Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, DMin., president of the Bayhealth Foundation, said this new facility "takes these services to the next level and offers several additional services." Bayhealth Mobile Care will also allow Bayhealth to continue providing onsite occupational health services, such as hearing tests, physical examinations, laboratory work, and echocardiograms, to the community. These services enable local enterprises and organizations to continue serving the community in their own unique ways. The capacity to have them come to us makes life easier for both the City of Rehoboth Beach as an employer and our employees, according to the City of Rehoboth Beach Human Resources Administrator, Jean Hendershott-Lee.
