Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has signed a lease for its first full-scale production brewery. The facility is expected to open in summer 2020 at The Shops on Eagleview Boulevard in Exton, Pennsylvania.
The expanded brewery and restaurant will increase in-store brewing capacity and bring current canning operations in-house. It will also serve as a test kitchen for developing company-wide menu offerings.
"Iron Hill Brewery & Taphouse is the next logical step in our expansion efforts to make sure we are staying true to our commitment of serving the freshest beer, maintaining our high standards and encouraging our brewers to experiment all the while giving our customers even more reason to keep coming back to their favorite Iron Hill", said Kim Boerema, CEO of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. "We are very excited to enter into this new venture and we look forward to continuing to serve our loyal fanbase in this new capacity."
Beer production will begin at 6,000 barrels or BBLs per year and eventually expand to 20,000. The site is 18,000 square feet, with a 10,000-square-feet brewery and 4,500-square-feet taproom.
Iron Hill's longtime partner Bray Architecture of Boulder, Colorado will design the facility, which contributes to the Delaware-based chain's short-term goal of opening 20 locations by 2020.
The projects developers, Eli Kahn Development Corp and J. Loew & Associates of Malvern, PA, have developed a number of businesses at The Shops on Eagleview Boulevard.
"We are absolutely delighted to have Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant anchor the redevelopment of the space at The Shops on Eagleview Boulevard", said developer Eli Kahn. "This will help the transformation of this center into a premier destination for both dining and shopping in Chester County."
