Artesian Resources Corporation announced that Nicholle R. Taylor was appointed President of Artesian Water Company, Inc., effective August 16, 2021.
Taylor has been with Artesian for over 30 years, holding various managerial positions in the organization providing her a broad range of experience. Since 2012 she has been a senior vice president of Artesian Resources Corporation and its subsidiaries and since August 1, 2019 also Chief Operating Officer of Artesian Water Company, Inc. In 2007, Taylor was appointed to Artesian Resources’ Board of Directors, where she serves on the Strategic Planning, Budget and Finance Committee.
Taylor serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Water Companies, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Committee of 100 and the Board of Directors of the Delaware Nature Society.

has been named as the acting Director of the Delaware Division of the Arts by Delaware Secretary of State Jeff Bullock. Pleasanton joined the Division in 1999 as the Art & Artist Services Coordinator and became the Deputy Director in 2013. Her experience has included grants administration, community engagement, and local and regional partnership development.
Pleasanton has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia and a Master's in Art History and Museum Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to 1999, she held management and supervisory positions with the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware State Museums. She has also spent several years teaching art history as an adjunct professor at Delaware State University.

Fulton Bank announced that Mark Mullican, executive vice president, has been promoted to director of Commercial Markets, and Joe Durham, senior vice president, has been promoted to Regional Commercial Executive for the bank’s Delaware, Maryland and Virginia region.
Mullican will oversee a large portion of Fulton’s commercial sales team throughout the bank’s five-state footprint, which includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Durham leads a team of commercial market executives and relationship managers in the DelMarVa region.
The Board of DANA, the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, announced two new board members at its Annual Meeting of Members in early August.
Guillermina Gonzalez, an Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University, has experience working in the for-profit, nonprofit and education sectors. In her former role at the Delaware Arts Alliance, she served as a partner with DANA on advocacy issues. Tom Sheridan, President of The Sheridan Group, has extensive public policy experience, successfully advocating for transformative social impact reform. DANA Board members Charles Vincent, Executive Director of Spur Impact Association and Vickie Young Beam, Principal of Cover and Rossiter were elected to a second term on the DANA Board.
During the meeting, members also reviewed DANA’s financial performance, public policy updates, an overview of its diversity, equity, and inclusion nonprofit support services and new member initiatives such as its Concierge grant application assistance support. DANA shared the results of its most recent DANA Member Survey highlighting ways nonprofits find value in the efforts of DANA’s mission.
Chef William Rawstrom has been selected to join Chef Joe at Vita Nova.
Rawstrom has extensive culinary education experience and is also an accomplished restaurateur. His restaurant, Maiale Deli & Salumeria in Wilmington is one among the few in Delaware that has been featured in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri on the Food Network Channel.

The Delaware Restaurant Association (DRA), announced the addition of Nicole Alvarez to their team. Alvarez, who most recently served as Legislative Assistant to Senator Spiros Mantzavinos (Senate District 7) who currently chair’s the Senate Banking, Business and Insurance Committee.
This newly created position will serve as the liaison between Delaware elected officials at both local and state levels and Delaware’s restaurant community. She will work closely with the DRA’s executive team, local leaders and elected officials to help shape and communicate the Association’s advocacy strategy policies in the areas of workforce development, education, health and safety and small business.

The Catholic Diocese of Wilmington has announced that Sheila O’Hagan McGirl
is the new Director of Development for the diocese. McGirl replaces Deborah Fols who retired on June 30, 2021 after 43 years of service to the diocese.
McGirl comes to the Diocese of Wilmington from the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia, where she was Senior Director of Institutional Advancement. Prior to that, she served the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey as Associate Director of Development. She also held positions in the Camden Diocese’s Family Life and Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry offices, as well as the Catholic Star Herald Newspaper.
