Drip Café owner Greg Vogeley likes to stay busy. In October, he opened a second Drip Café in Newark, which has less seating than the Hockessin location, but with a stronger focus on takeout and grab-and-go items.
But Vogeley just announced that a third Drip Café is in the works, this time in downtown Wilmington. The beloved brunch and coffee shop will be located at 1201 N. Market St., an office tower with an underground parking garage and convenient access to I-95 and Rodney Square.
Vogeley says that he really wasn't looking to open another location this year, but this opportunity fell into his lap.
"Downtown has been growing in many different areas for years. This opportunity was presented to me over the spring and it was a good deal to add on to my business," he says.
Vogeley plans to run this location a little differently than his other two eateries. "We will operate this location as a Drip Express once the renovations are completed. We will have a full coffee, espresso, and smoothie bar. We will also feature many different grab-and-go food and beverage items, as well as some select Drip Café favorites (hello, Cali breakfast sandwich!) made fresh to order," he says.
Vogeley is hoping that a downtown location with expand the restaurant's reach.
"I think this is a good opportunity for Drip to grow and add on to its brand portfolio. I am looking to grow our catering business and I hope that this Drip outpost can help us gain some clients in the downtown market," he says.
