Tenon Tours, a tour operator specializing in custom European vacations, has opened a new headquarters in Lewes, Delaware.

Founded near Boston, the company has added 12 new jobs in Delaware over the last two years and plans to add five more in the next year.

Tenon has worked with the University of Delaware's Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management program to help students interested in the industry find jobs. UD graduates hold five of the 12 positions at the Lewes location.

"We added a second headquarters in Delaware because our employees are excited to be in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we've been able to find top talent with a passion for travel and personal service," said President Bryan Lewis. "Our location in Lewes and proximity to Delaware's beaches provides a great work-life balance and allows our team to live and work in the hospitality industry."

Tenon Tours started off in 2007 with tours to Ireland and has since expanded to England, Wales, Italy, Scotland and Iceland, offering custom itineraries drawn from local knowledge of each location.

In the coming year, the company will also launch a By-Your-Side Service(SM) and a travel app to assist customers while they're abroad.
