booths, a pool table, as well as grab-and-go food. | PHOTO COURTESY OF COWORK REHO[/caption] REHOBOTH BEACH — Now that work-from-home has become the new normal, the first coworking space in Sussex County hopes to provide a new view of coming to the office. CoWork Reho, a 6,800-square-foot space on the first floor of the Henlopen Hotel & Condos, was opened in late July. Members can walk up straight from the boardwalk – after swiping a key card and enjoy an ocean view while working from some of the 6-by-8 foot studios. “Personally, I want to see this become a community. If you think about it, about 60% of the population in Rehoboth Beach is here year-round, so success will look like local professionals using this space to work hard and earn money,” CoWork Reho owner Jared Bowers said. “But there’s options for people who are coming from Washington, D.C., on a vacation and need to walk in for a time.” [caption id="attachment_225177" align="alignright" width="300"] CoWork Reho offers many membership options for private rooms or other options, but one of its key draws is its ocean views. | PHOTO COURTESY OF COWORK REHO[/caption] CoWork Reho offers private studio spaces, as well as coworking desks. Tables, lounges and photo booths are offered in open workspaces. A conference room, equipped with smart TVs, conference phones with video capability, and glass dry erase boards, can also be booked. Bowers, a real estate agent with Coldwell Bankers, is a New Castle County native and used to work in Wilmington until he decided he needed a change. He moved to the Delaware beaches full-time in early 2020, and on his morning jogs he noticed that the commercial space in the Henlopen Hotel was for sale. “One day, I noticed a Emmert Auction Associates sign in the window. I figured, why not give it a chance? Surprisingly, I won,” he said. First he envisioned making it a real estate office, but later changed course and settled on a coworking space, inspired by his time at The Mill coworking space in downtown Wilmington. “When I was there, I felt like I belonged there, and I had a great time. It was an environment where we could hang out and share what you were working on,” Bowers said. “There were so many businesses, and I made some great friends there.” “I want to see professionals start to think of this place [CoWork Reho] as a place where they work together and have fun together,” he added. In 2020, the Henlopen Hotel embarked on a two-year renovation process for the entire building – and Bowers followed suit, hoping to give the space a clean, industrial look.  Other amenities are private phone booths, a pool table, as well as grab-and-go food. CoWork Reho offers annual memberships at $300 per month, as well as $475 on a month-by-month basis. Day passes are offered for $75 per day. Private studios run between $1,000 and $2,500.
