Favorite thing about Delaware? “The people. I grew up here, went to college here, and came back after law school. Delaware is a remarkable place to practice law, with some of the best courts and judges in the country and headline-grabbing cases of national significance. And, best of all, I get to enjoy it all near my family and friends.”
William “Bill” Lafferty was named the leader of Morris Nichols, the fifth largest firm in Delaware with 100 attorneys, in 2021. He came to the role with a more than 30-year career at Morris Nichols focusing on Delaware corporate and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on cases involving mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and consent solicitations, and shareholder class and derivative actions. The lifelong Delawarean supports his alma mater through serving on the University of Delaware’s Board of Trustees.
