The philanthropic legacy of Delaware’s prominent du Pont family lives on in many, not the least of whom includes Longwood Foundation President Thère du Pont. Not only does he lead efforts at this private foundation, which provides over $20 million in funding annually to charitable organizations throughout the First State and parts of Pennsylvania, but du Pont also serves as chair of the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation and is an ex-officio member on the Longwood Gardens board. The Stanford University graduate has previously worked for a large online pharmaceutical company and formerly as president and CEO of Wawa.
