Best advice for your younger self? “Think about what you would like to do. Do some homework to learn about that industry. Talk to as many experienced people as possible in that industry. Have a mentor to help you through the evaluation process.”
Pete Davisson, a founding partner of the regional brokerage Jackson Cross Partners, found his calling late in life. He was 43 when he started as a full-time broker, but found that he had an eye for selling. Over the last four decades, his career has spanned more than 1,000 transitions across more than 3-million-square-feet of space and $700 million in sales and leases, working with national companies such as Bank of America, DuPont, AIG and Bloomberg.
