As a second-generation builder, Ernie Delle Donne learned the ins-and-outs of the development business from his late father, Eugene. They worked together for four years as Delle Donne & Associates, and today Ernie has carried on the family legacy by building some of Delaware’s most recognizable buildings, including the Tower at STAR on the University of Delaware’s STAR Campus, 802 Delaware Avenue that is home to Capital One, and now Avenue North, a reimagining of the former AstraZeneca campus in Fairfax. Outside of Delaware, Delle Donne may be best known as the father of two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne.
