Ed Capodanno has been advocating for Delaware’s contractors for 30 years, starting as president of the Delaware Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, a nonprofit trade association that represents commercial and industrial merit shop contractors, in 1993. That role includes lobbying state lawmakers on changes beneficial to the construction industry and working with school districts to enhance trade education of future workers. That experience has led him to be tapped for numerous appointments to state task forces. Outside of ABC, Capodanno has earned service awards from the YMCA, Lions Club and Special Olympics. After 30 years of service with the ABC Chapter of Delaware, Capodanno announced he intends to retire and will serve as a consultant for the organization until July 2025.
