What was your first job? “My first job in high school was as an associate at Burger King. It involved food preparation, lots of cleaning, and eventually serving as a cashier.”
As a division of the New York Blood Center Enterprises, the Blood Bank of Delmarva provides blood and blood products to 19 hospitals on the Delmarva Peninsula. Bruce Sachais also serves as senior vice president and chief medical officer of the New York Blood Center. In 2021, he helped unite the Blood Bank of Delmarva and Beebe Healthcare in a novel project that offered convalescent plasma therapy to treat COVID-19 patients.
