As the leader for Barclays’ U.S. Consumer Bank and its Wilmington headquarters, Denny Nealon has a major task to grow the British banking giant’s presence and credit and retail capabilities in America. Nealon, a veteran of the banking industry with time at First USA Bank and JPMorgan Chase, now oversees 1,000 employees in Delaware. Under his leadership, Barclays has made major commitments to create hundreds of jobs in the city, invest in STEM education in underrepresented areas, and support small business entrepreneurship.
