University of Delaware has a NCAA Division I program with 21 sports and a $48 million budget, the largest in its football championship subdivision, and the Athletic Director Chrissi Rawark is responsible for it all. One year after she was brought on, Rawark oversaw the first comprehensive fundraising campaign for athletics, which raised more than half of the $65 million renovation of the Delaware Stadium and Whitney Athletic Center construction. In addition, Rawak renegotiated the apparel deal with Adidas and the multi-media rights deal with IMG (now known as LEARFIELD) to strengthen the Delaware brand and secure long term financial guarantees. For her efforts, Rawak was named 2024 NACDA Athletic Director of the Year.
