Bill Andrew

Bill Andrew, longtime Delaware Electric Cooperative President and CEO, has announced his retirement. After leading the Cooperative for over 15 years, Andrew will step down as DEC’s CEO on July 2, 2021. Andrew joined the Cooperative in 1998 as VP of Engineering and Operations and was promoted to President and CEO of the organization in 2005.

Andrew is excited to spend more time with his family and grandchildren and is confident DEC’s talented workforce is fully prepared to meet the challenges associated with the dynamic and quickly evolving energy industry. “It has been an extraordinary honor to serve our community in that role for the past 15 years. During my tenure as CEO, our incredible team has transformed our not-for-profit utility into one of the most progressive utilities in the country. I am so proud of what our dedicated and professional staff have accomplished. I know Delaware Electric Cooperative and its members will be in good hands,” said Andrew.

The Cooperative’s Board of Directors expects to announce a new CEO in the spring of 2021.

Charlie Tomlinson

Charlie Tomlinson is the newly elected President of the Board of Directors of the World Trade Center in Delaware. He is the vice president of business development for Today Media, publishers of Delaware Today Magazine, Delaware Business Times and six other publications. He joined Today Media in 1993 as director of sales and marketing for Delaware Today Magazine and was instrumental in launching Main Line Today Magazine in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.

“I have always had an affinity for economic development and I wasn’t on the World Trade Center board for more than a meeting when it was clear to me that WTCDE is an economic development driver for Delaware,” Tomlinson said.

Joining the Board of Directors for the WTCDE are; Damian DeStafano, Director of the Delaware Division of Small Business; Carmen Facciolo Jr., Director of NAI Emory Hill, President of Emory Hill Real Estate Services, Inc. and VP of Emory Hill & Co.; and Howard Henderson, Senior Associate for Triad Associates.

Leadership Delaware, Inc. (LDI) announced the appointment of one new member to its Board of Directors, Logan S. Herring, Sr.; along with two Advisory Board Members, Robert (“Bob”) J.A. Fraser and Robert (“Rob”) F. Martinelli.

Logan S. Herring, Sr. is the CEO of Kingswood Community Center, REACH Riverside, and The Warehouse (WRK). He was raised in Wilmington’s West Center City neighborhood and knows that other people helped guide him to success, and his goal is to pay it forward. Logan started his work in the Riverside neighborhood of Wilmington in 2016 as the Executive Director for Kingswood Community Center (KCC), which serves the young and old alike, including an early learning center, before and after care, teen programming, and senior center. REACH (Redevelopment Education & Community Health) Riverside, is a nonprofit community development corporation created to lead the $250 Million revitalization of the Riverside neighborhood under the nationally acclaimed and Warren Buffett funded Purpose Built Communities model, to include 600 units of mixed-income housing and a new state of the art KCC; REACH has been officially named as the 19th network affiliate of Purpose Built Communities (28 total affiliates).

REACH and KCC are working in partnership with The Warehouse, a co-working facility and network for teen-serving organizations designed to address violence, academic performance, and workforce readiness amongst Wilmington’s youth by providing them with access to more than 130 teen-focused program and service providers.

Logan has also been recognized in the Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 class of 2018, which pays tribute to ambitious professionals who are making a name for themselves through professional excellence and community involvement. The honorees represent the best in a wide range of fields such as finance, law, nonprofit, hospitality, education, and technology.

Bob Fraser has been an integral part of Leadership Delaware since its founding. He is very passionate about the LDI mission and the impact LDI Fellows are having on our communities.

Now retired, Bob has been very active on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards in the U.S. and Canada, in many cases serving as Chairman of the Board. He served as Chair of BofA Canada Bank, Blueprint Software Systems, Campus Partners, and Easterseals Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, to name a few.

He has served on many local nonprofit boards including: the United Way of Delaware (where he was General Campaign Manager), the Grand Opera House, the World Affairs Council, the Delaware Symphony, and the International Strategic Planning Group for the State of Delaware.

Bob served as Division President, Group Executive, and Vice Chairman of MBNA America Bank. Prior to that he served in several senior executive roles at Hercules Incorporated including Executive Vice President, Group Vice President and President of Hercules Food and Functional Products, and Senior Vice President of International and Science and Technology.

He has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He was a lecturer in Marketing Management and Industrial Marketing at McGill University. Bob was a long-time member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) in the U.S., and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) in Canada.

Robert F. Martinelli, 64, is CEO and President of Today Media, a family owned media company that specializes in regional publications, events, websites, and custom communications that help people get the most out of living in their communities. Rob started in the second-generation family business in 1982 as Publisher of Delaware Today magazine. In 1996, Rob started Main Line Today magazine. In September 2014, Today Media launched the Delaware Business Times serving the Delaware market with local business information in print, online and in-person with numerous events. Today Media has been publishing the Delaware Valley Italian American Herald for the past six years.

Rob holds a law degree and was admitted to the New York State Bar. Rob does not currently practice. He is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Massachusetts and Pace University School of Law in New York.

Rob is a member of the Past President’s Council of the City and Regional Magazine Association the largest trade organization for city and regional magazines. He served as President in 2003 and in 2012 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the organization.

Rob is active in his community. He is past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware and currently sits on their Board of Directors. Rob is president of the Today Media Charitable Foundation which runs the Best of Parties for the local magazines. These parties have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for children charities and cultural arts groups. In July 2000, Rob received the Delaware State Chapter of the March of Dimes Medal of Honor – its’ highest award for service and commitment and in November 2000 the Jane Maroney Advocacy Award in recognition of tireless efforts in advocacy for Delaware’s mothers and babies. In 2014, Rob was named the Man of the Year by the Delaware Christopher Columbus Monument Committee. Rob is also a member of the ChristianaCare Council of Advisors and Nominating Committee and a member of the board of the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation.
