Beebe Healthcare announced Dr. John F. Rodis, MD, MBA, FACHE, as its interim vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer. 

Dr. Rodis has an extensive healthcare career with more than 15 years of senior leadership in many aspects of hospital administration, including residency program director, service line physician executive, chief medical officer, chief operating officer, chief physician executive, executive vice president, and president. Most recently, Rodis was president of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a 600-bed Level 1 Trauma Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rodis received his MBA from the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He attended medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed his residency in OB/GYN at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey, and his fellowships in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Clinical Genetics at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Most recently, he has become board certified by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Keith Korin is the new director of natural gas marketing for the Southeast Region (DC, MD, VA) with United Energy Trading, LLC (UET). Keith’s diverse energy background includes portfolio management for natural gas and power, risk management, marketing, origination, and demand response. Korin has been in the energy industry since 2010 spending 4 years with WGL Energy and 6 years with Direct Energy before coming over to UET. With WGL Energy, Korin served as the Field and Sales Operations Supervisor for Mass Markets for the Mid-Atlantic Region. During his tenure with Direct Energy, Keith assisted large industrial customers across the DC metro area with their energy management needs forecasting, budgeting, and procurement.


Liz Parlett Butcher joined First State Educate (FSE) as the director of communications. She comes to Delaware as a long-standing advocate for children with disabilities in the state of New Jersey.

Prior to joining FSE, Butcher served as the regional director of the New Jersey chapter of the Association of American Educators (AAE). While at AAE, she worked with teachers and parents helping them elevate their voices in the public arena on the education issues that mattered most to them. Shortly before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Butcher created an on-the-road advocacy training program for teachers where she brought the training to teacher lounges during built-in breaks. To date, she has trained over 1,000 educators.

At FSE, Butcher will create content that will inform and engage Delawareans to act together as a productive force for change in our education system. In her previous role, in which she still finds time to volunteer when needed, Butcher as called upon to help negotiate appropriate accommodations, modifications and support for children with disabilities in the public education system.

Landmark Science & Engineering announced Joseph C. Marvasi, P.E. has been certified by the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers. He is now a registered P.E. in the state of Delaware, working in Landmark’s Newark office on our clients’ important land development projects in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Marvasi joined Landmark in 2018 and now has over eight years of experience providing site/civil engineering design for commercial, residential, educational and mixed-use projects. He specializes in site/civil and water resources design, often involving stormwater management BMPs, stormwater outfall remediation and restoration, erosion and sediment control, and water and sanitary sewer design. Notable projects on which he contributed include the 2021 Grand Conceptor Award-winning Avenue North Channel Restoration and Stabilization in Fairfax, Delaware, and the new Carroll County Public Safety Training Center in Westminster, Maryland with the firm’s Aberdeen office.


Blue Rock Financial Group announced the addition of Theo Dressler, as financial advisor and client relationship manager, and Dawn Mitchell, as client service representative. Both individuals bring a wealth of experience to the company with strong backgrounds in the financial industry.

Prior to joining Blue Rock, Dressler served in the Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserves. He has served all over the country aiding in operations. In between serving in the armed services, Theo worked as an account executive until the 9/11 attacks. He then served on active duty for several combat tours. Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force, Dressler wanted to return to his passion for finance. He became a CFP® professional in Florida before relocating back to Delaware.

Dressler offers clients a hands-on approach to achieving and preserving long-term financial goals. When he is not assisting clients at Blue Rock, Dressler is also a Defense Contractor teaching classes on basic finance, investments, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning for soldiers, airmen, and their families.

Mitchell has a strong background in the banking and financial services industries. She graduated from the University of Delaware and has earned her Series 7 and Series 63 certifications. In addition, she is studying to take the certified financial planner practitioner exam. In her role at Blue Rock, she handles all administrative tasks, coordinates with Blue Rock’s team, coordinates all onboarding tasks, and manages client relations.

William “Bill” Erhart joined A Better Delaware as an advisory board member. A Better Delaware is a non-partisan public policy and political advocacy organization that supports pro-growth, pro-jobs policies and greater transparency and accountability in state government.

 Throughout his career, Erhart has helped thousands of individuals and families with estate planning, family trusts, veterans’ benefits, Medicaid planning and probate. Erhart’s professional associations include Delaware State Bar Elder Law Section Chair, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and National Elder Law Foundation. Erhart has been recognized as a top Delaware Elder Law Attorney by Delaware Today Magazine, Super Lawyer Magazine, and Peers.

Marie Gayo has been appointed executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Realty’s Mid-Atlantic Region. In this role, Gayo is responsible for the sales and operations of the Coldwell Banker Realty branded companies in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York, Philadelphia, central Pennsylvania, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., northern Virginia and the Maryland and Delaware beaches. The companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, with approximately 85 offices and more than 8,600 affiliated sales professionals, represented nearly $25 billion in sales volume in 2021. Gayo begins her role effective immediately.

 In her new position, Gayo will play a key role in developing strategic initiatives that include innovative and dynamic approaches to the business to grow the companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region to serve even more home buyers and sellers, ultimately driving the business, sales performance and productivity of Coldwell Banker Realty agents.

 Gayo possesses nearly 30 years of experience in the real estate, mortgage and banking industries. She most recently served in a dual role as president of mortgage banking and chief diversity officer for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox Roach & The Trident Group in Devon, Pennsylvania. Previously, she served as the company’s senior vice president of operations and capital markets.


Bob Older, of Creative Travel, became the 2nd travel agent in Delaware to achieve Sandals Chairman Royal Club status of Unique Vacations Inc., an affiliate of Unique Travel Corp., the worldwide representatives of Sandals Resorts and Beaches.

 In keeping with the company’s longstanding tradition of supporting and recognizing its dedicated travel advisors, Older’s invitation to join the Chairman’s Royal Club places him within a select group of top travel advisors who have continuously produced stellar results and showcased loyalty to the Sandals and Beaches brands. Older becomes only the second travel advisor in the state of Delaware with over 100 agents to be recognized into this exclusive club, which extends to its members’ extra benefits and opportunities as a reward for their successful track record selling the resort brands. 

 There are a number of qualifications Older has fulfilled in order to be eligible to join the Chairman’s Royal Club. Among these credentials, Older and other selected travel advisors must sell more than 100 rooms per year on behalf of Sandals and Beaches Resorts and consistently provide guests with outstanding customer service. Travel advisors are required to annually attend workshops and VIP experiences.


Solutions IPEM announced Sarah Rigot’s, AIA, promotion to associate. Rigot joined the architecture department in 2019 and has continually developed and demonstrated her abilities and professionalism in client relations and service, business development, and her dedication to the practice of architecture in general. These abilities have substantially contributed to the success of the practice and its clients’ projects.

With over 14 years of experience in the field of architecture, she has been deeply involved in the design process for projects across a wide range of building types. Most recently, her portfolio at Solutions IPEM has grown to include multiple private residences, multi-family residential townhomes, mixed-use projects, community clubhouse and amenities designs, and medical office buildings. Her ability to turn ideas, inspiration, and conversation into exceptional designs has garnered the appreciation of her clients while her attention to detail and knowledge of building codes and practices has earned her a respected reputation with developers, builders, and consultants.

 She is LEED accredited and a member of the AIA, as well as the Associated Builders and Contractors association, where she is an active participant in their growing Young Professionals organization, is active with the Georgetown and Millsboro Chambers of Commerce and enjoys volunteering her time with Habitat for Humanity builds.  In her spare time, she works on her home improvement projects designing and constructing the renovations herself.

Stacie Ann Bailey has been promoted to sales manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Newark – University of Delaware Hotel. Bailey has worked in the hospitality industry since 2004 during which she has achieved great success in marketing and selling accommodation packages to customers. In her previous roles, Bailey has served as the main point of contact for clients while also being responsible for customer billings and inquiries. She has extensive knowledge in the preparation of sales-related analyses, agreements, promotions, and presentations.

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF) announced Civil Engineer Chad S. Warren’s successful completion of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying examination.

Warren began his career with the firm as an engineering intern in 2014 while completing his civil engineering degree at the University of Delaware. Following graduation, he joined the firm as a project engineer at the firm’s Milford, Delaware office under the guidance of principal Jamie L. Sechler, P.E. Warren’s work includes a wide range of commercial and residential projects across the Delmarva Peninsula, providing services ranging from stormwater management, grading plans and construction administration, to preliminary engineering, project permitting, and land planning.

The Latin American Community Center (LACC) announced the election of Wilson A. Gualpa, Esq. as secretary of the board of directors. Gualpa is an attorney in Morris James’ personal injury practice, with experience representing clients in personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premise liability cases, and workers’ compensation matters. He has served on the LACC Board of Directors since 2019.
