YWCA Delaware CEO Stephanie L. Staats will receive the “Jessie Arrey-Mbi Leadership & Service Award” for her commitment to service and improving the lives of women and families.
The award is given by Women in Leadership Development & Empowerment, Inc (WILDE), a professional women’s 501 (c)3 public charity that works to improve the lives of women and children.
“Stephanie continues to move YWCA forward with her genuine commitment to the organization’s mission of eliminating racism, and empowering women and families,” said Nancy Crake, YWCA Delaware board president.
Delaware State University President Dr. Wilma Mishoe and Pamela Rizzo of The County Women’s Journal will also receive the award.
Davida Baker, past YWCA Delaware board president, said, “Stephanie is constantly thinking about how to secure YWCA Delaware’s future. She helped develop a three-year strategic plan focusing on the intersection of gender and race to continue to improve lives for women, girls, and their families. Through her leadership YWCA provides services that are deliberate, bold and entrepreneurial.”
