The Delaware Community Foundation will launch a comprehensive statewide data website Oct. 19
DelawareFocus.org will provide social, economic and environmental data with the goal of fueling discussion and action and providing data to determine community priorities, emerging challenges and funding objectives.
The objective data and analyses can help decision-makers, funders and community members identify weaknesses and strengths, set priorities, evaluate program outcomes, track progress and compare regional trends.
Gov. Jack Markell will speak at the website’s Wilmington launch Monday at 8:30 at the Baby Grand on Market Street. Domenico Grasso, provost at UD, will also speak.
Alan Levin, former director of the Delaware Economic Development Office, and Lynnette Overby of UD, will speak at the site’s Georgetown launch Monday at the theater of the Arts & Science Center on Del Tech’s Owens Campus at 2 p.m.
Other speakers include Fred C. Sears II, foundation president and CEO; Marilyn Rushworth Hayward, chair of the foundation’s board, and Erika Rosenberg of the Center for Governmental Research.
Registration for both events will be 30 minutes prior to the scheduled talks.
