Goldey-Beacom College announced today the appointment of W. Daniel Young, Ph.D. as director of the newly created Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program.
Young will help recruit faculty and students while shaping the vision of the program, including managing the curriculum and exam process. He will also have a hand in crafting courses.
The doctoral program will work with several partnering corporations and government agencies to bring real business problems into the classroom, rather than case studies and text book examples.
Goldey-Beacom touts the DBA program as ideal for working executives interested in advancing their careers and taking part in valuable research and problem solving. The existing PhD in Business Administration program is better for those bound for an academic setting, according to the college.
As an assistant professor, Young developed Wilmington University’s first online Doctor of Business Administration course. He has also taught classes at the University of Delaware, Temple University and West Chester University. He also founded Young Consulting Group, a marketing firm targeting millennials.
