Webber’s talk is presented by Delaware Law School, the Ruby R. Vale Foundation and The Delaware Counsel Group, a Wilmington-based law firm that advises nationally and internationally on Delaware corporate and alternative-entity transactions.

The school’s Institute of Delaware Corporate and Business Law strives to serve as a forum for interaction between business law scholarship and practice.

“Our scholar in residence program was designed to create a forum for scholarly interaction between the Delaware bench and bar and younger law professors who are establishing solid reputations in corporate and business law,” said Lawrence A. Hamermesh, institute director.  “This program has created strong bonds between our speakers and the Delaware legal community. We look forward to hearing Professor Webber’s scholarly insights, and hope to enrich his work with feedback.”

Webber is a leading expert on securities and investment law. His research on shareholder activism, corporate governance and shareholder litigation has frequently been cited by courts and academics.
