Veterans Freedom Mural dedication is slated June 28 in Creative District

Gov. Jack Markell and Secretary of State Jeff Bullock will speak at the dedication of the Veterans Freedom Mural Dedication in Wilmington’s Creative District on June 28.

The mural is the inaugural project for Wilmington’s first free public art training program in the city district which stretches from Fourth to Ninth streets and from Shipley to Washington streets.

The mural by Eric Okdeh is on the exterior wall of Marcella’s House, a 31-unit veterans’ residential facility owned by Connections Community Support Programs Inc.
