The University of Virginia Press will provide manuscript editorial services, design services and production services for the University of Delaware Press beginning July 1.
The move will not affect staffing at UD’s press office, and the space allotted for the press operation will not change, according to Andrea Boyle Tippett of the of UD’s marketing office.
The UD Press will retain an independent editorial office in the Morris Library and a board of editors made up of UD faculty, she said.
UD titles will be marketed alongside University of Virginia Press, and Virginia’s seasonal catalog will include a UD section. Distribution will be through Longleaf Services.
