Private-sector seasonally adjusted employment in the U.S. increased by 237,000 from July to August, according to the ADP Research Institute.
The New Jersey-based research group’s monthly employment report found positive trends across the market, including increases in small, mid-sized and large companies.
Most industries experienced increases as well, with the exception of the information sector and the natural resources and mining sector.

The biggest increase was in trade, transportation and utilities, which saw an increase of 56,000 jobs.
