The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Delaware has helped shut down two websites with Wilmington addresses that were illegally selling prescription drugs and controlled substances.

The websites, Drug Mart Pharmacy and Bluerays Pharmacy, had not obtained a necessary license from Delaware Division of Professional Regulation.

In addition. the sites sold illegal drugs such as ecstasy and cocaine. Even for legal drugs, the sites indicated that “no prescription is needed” to purchase the medication.

“In a time when our country is in an opioid crisis, these types of websites appear to make it easy to purchase drugs online, and they need to be stopped. We are glad that we can play a part in tackling this epidemic,” says Christine Sauers, BBB Delaware President.

A BBB investigation determined that the websites are registered in Littoral, Cameroon, Africa.

A Google search of the address (426 N. Tatnall St, Wilmington DE) shows there are multiple “online pharmacies” claiming to be at this location. The address is invalid and not a commercial or business location, according to New Castle County Property Records.

BBB worked along side the Delaware Attorney General’s office during the investigation.
