Technology Forum presents Idea Challenge

The Technology Forum of Delaware on March 16 will present the 2016 Idea Challenge, a demonstration of how technology, innovation and collaboration can result in new concepts to make Wilmington a better place to live and work.

The event will demonstrate ideationTeams will include the “Do Gooders” from regional civic and service organizations and “Tech Geeks” from the Tech Forum community.

Mac Nagaswami, CEO of Carvertise, will provide an orientation to the entrepreneurial process, and Rick Jensen, WDEL radio talk show host, will emcee the event.

Experts from University of Delaware Horn Program and Start It Up Delaware will brief the teams on the entrepreneurial ideation process and how to pitch a concept. Then they will be presented with the challenge problem and will work collaboratively to generate ideas to address the issues.  Final pitches will be presented to the audience that evening.

A panel of judges and audience members will evaluate the concepts.

Teams include members from the Small Business Administration, Downtown Visions, Wilmington University, Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Zip Code Wilmington.
