OurBus, a New York City-based tech company that crowd sources intercity and commuter bus routes, is launching a bus route from Newark, Delaware to the Big Apple. The service will target college students and local residents.
The service will depart from Route 896 & Route 4 Park and Ride, Friday through Saturday, starting August 31. The promotional starting price for tickets is $25.
“Our top priority is expanding to towns like Newark, Delaware, that have been historically underserved by existing transportation options,” said Axel Hellman, co-founder of OurBus. “We offer an inexpensive and efficient way to travel to New York City, and based on customer demand, we’ll expand our schedule to further meet the needs of the local university population.”
OurBus recently launched service in State College, Pennsylvania and has expanded to more than two dozen college towns across the United States. Other towns served by OurBus include West Chester, Pa.; New Brunswick, New Jersey; and Philadelphia.
