SmartAsset, a New York-based financial technology company, released a study ranking the most tax-friendly places in Delaware for retirees.
The study tracks property tax and sales tax rates, taxes on Social Security benefits and other financial factors crucial to retirees.
Southern and northern Delaware communities made the list. A number of benefits, including no sales tax or taxes on Social Security, are statewide advantages. The main areas of difference are property tax rates and fuel taxes.
