SevOne, the tech company that installed slides and games at its offices at UD’s Technology and Innovation Center, conducted its second layoff in six months Monday morning.
Company spokespersons did not respond to media calls and the company has not released numbers, but the News Journal interviewed employees leaving the building on Monday morning. About half the company’s work force is based in Newark.
A state Department of Labor spokesman this morning said SevOne has not submitted a WARN notice to the state, the noticed required when a company furloughs at least 50 employees.
