Safeway and Sunoco partner for gas program

Safeway is expanding its gas rewards program so that shoppers can now redeem points at either Safeway gas stations or Sunoco stations.

The expansion begins this week in Delaware.

“Our fuel rewards program has been available at Safeway fuel stations for years. We are excited to announce that we are expanding our existing gas rewards program to include Sunoco stations, so shoppers throughout Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia can now experience this convenient way to save on gas at participating Sunoco locations,” said Beth Goldberg, senior manager of community and public affairs for Safeway’s Eastern division.
