Robinson+Cole continues growth of Wilmington bankruptcy practice

Robinson+Cole (R+C) has announced the addition of Jamie L. Edmonson to the firm’s growing Bankruptcy + Reorganizations practice. She joins as partner in the Wilmington office from Venable LLP, where she was partner-in-charge of the office.

“The continued growth of our Bankruptcy + Reorganization Practice Group is one of our firm’s key strategic objectives, as is the expansion of our presence in Wilmington. Consistent with these objectives, we are extraordinarily fortunate to have the opportunity to add Jamie, whose practice will have so many synergies with our existing bankruptcy, corporate and litigation practices,” said R+C Managing Partner Stephen E. Goldman. “Jamie is also an established leader in the Delaware bar, and we look forward to working with her to continue to expand our Wilmington office.”

Edmonson joins R+C following a significant expansion of the firm’s bankruptcy practice in January when R+C welcomed five attorneys and opened new offices in Philadelphia and Wilmington. Natalie D. Ramsey, Mark A. Fink and Davis Lee Wright, all of whom practice bankruptcy in Delaware, joined as partners.

R+C isn’t alone in doubling down on its bankruptcy practice. In April, Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP hired two attorneys with a background in bankruptcy litigation. McDermott Will & Emery also opened a local office, in part to take advantage of the state’s bankruptcy courts. “Joining Robinson+Cole allows me to work with a well-regarded national bankruptcy and reorganization team in providing exceptional service to my clients, including former colleagues Mark Fink and Davis Wright, from our time together at Skadden,” said Edmonson. “The firm’s commitment to growing and developing its Delaware office was critically important to me.”
