WILMINGTON — Promoter David Feldman announced today that world renowned boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. will take on the world’s bare knuckle champion Bobby Gunn for the WBF World Cruiser Weight Championship on Feb.17 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

The fight was announced at a press conference today at the Law Offices of Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O’Neill on Market Street.  In addition to promoter David Feldman, also present were heavyweight champion Larry Holmes, local boxing legend Dave Tiberi and co-promoter Ciro Poppitti III.

Weigh-in is scheduled for Feb. 16 at Delaware Park Casino, the presenting sponsor of the event.  The weigh-in will be part of a fundraiser that will bring Holmes and seven other past boxing champions to Delaware.  The fundraiser will benefit the First State Kids Foundation and the Delaware Police Fund.
