Aisha Taylor, M.D., has joined Chesapeake Urology in its women’s urology program, one of the only dedicated programs for women’s urologic conditions in the region. Dr. Taylor is fellowship-trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and brings a wealth of experience in women’s urologic health conditions.
Lauren Connelly has joined the Board of Directors of the new Sussex Montessori School in Seaford. Sussex Montessori School will open in 2020, serving 260 students in grades K-3, then expand to 430 K-6 students by 2023. Connelly, a Laurel resident, is a media and marketing professional with O.A. Newton and Body & Soul Fitness and Spa.

- Bryan L. Hutchison Jr., AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, has been promoted to Senior Associate. With a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Virginia Tech, he is a registered architect in the state of Delaware, a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and serves on the Delaware Board of Architects. Bryan has been with the firm for 15 years and leads the architectural staff in the Dover office.
- Craig Williams, AIA, has been with the firm for 16 years and has been named Senior Associate. Craig graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and is a registered architect in Maryland.
- Michael J. Henry, LEED AP, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Michael has been with the firm for 22 years in the civil engineering department in the Dover office. Michael is a graduate of Delaware Technical Community College, was formerly an ambassador for the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Leadership Central Delaware Class of 2018.
Pam Baumbach, CFP, IACCP, has been elected president and chief operating officer of Mallard Financial Partners of Newark. In addition, Jacqie Thompson, AAMS, is the new vice president; Susan Lehnerd, CFP, has become treasurer; and Paul Baumbach, CFA, CFP, ChFC, takes over as secretary. Pam Baumbach has been with the firm since 2000 and has experience in management, operations, trading, compliance, and financial planning. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and certificate in financial planning from the University of Delaware. The other corporate officers have each been with the firm for at least nine years, and Paul Baumbach is one of the business’ founders. The firm has more than 180 clients and manages more than $170 million in client assets.
Christopher M. Samis and L. Katherine Good have joined Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP as partners in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice. Aaron H. Stulman also joins the firm as an associate. Samis, Good and Stulman join Potter Anderson from Whiteford, Taylor & Preston. Named as leading Delaware bankruptcy lawyers by Chambers USA and recognized on Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under Hot List,” Samis and Good have represented debtors, committees, lenders, purchasers and significant creditors before the Delaware bankruptcy courts for over 12 years. Good is chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Law Section.
Heather Contant of the Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC) has been promoted to director of media relations and communications. Heather has worked in the utility industry for the past four years and joined DEMEC in 2017.
Nina Maddox is the new executive chef at Crust & Craft, the Midway restaurant in Rehoboth Beach that specializes in wood-fired pizza, pasta and craft beer. Maddox, who moved from Wilmington to Sussex County as a teenager, oversees all the kitchen operations at the restaurant.
Sean Meluney and Kate Harmon have joined Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group in Wilmington.
- Meluney is a veteran of both trial and appellate courts at the state and federal level. His practice encompasses the full range of complex litigation, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business divorce, partnership disputes, and securities fraud. Sean also represents employers and employees in expedited matters relating to the enforcement of restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and contractual non-competition provisions, as well as matters including wage and hour, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, unfair competition and wrongful termination claims. Meluney received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2010 and his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University in 2006.
- Harmon has experience handling all aspects of complex commercial litigation, corporate litigation, bankruptcy litigation, corporate governance, entity formation, non-profit representation, insurance coverage disputes, compliance and intellectual property matters across various state and federal courts. Harmon received her law degree from Temple University School of Law in 2009, her master’s in social services and master’s in law and social policy from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research in 2005, and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Delaware in 2002.
Melissa Micek has joined Philanthropy Delaware as director of engagement. In this role, she oversees membership engagement, strategic communications, and programmatic affairs. She serves as the project manager for the SHARE Delaware, a collaborative enterprise of Philanthropy Delaware and Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA).
Brian Erickson has joined Cook Maran as a client adviser for commercial property and casualty risks, specializing in energy, auto dealer and other large complex accounts. Erickson was previously regional manager for Energi Insurance in Peabody, Massachusetts.
Steve Kinion, Delaware’s captive insurance director, has been named to Captive Review’s Power 50 for the eighth year in a row. The Power 50 represents the 50 most powerful and influential individuals in today’s global captive insurance industry. Over 3,000 insurance professionals worldwide cast their votes to select the Power 50.
Kathleen MacRae has retired after more than eight years as executive director of the ACLU of Delaware.
Keith Hammond has become a partner in the Wilmington office of BDO USA LLP. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael Hendee, who served as deputy attorney general in the Delaware Attorney General’s Office from 2008 to 2014, has joined Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O’Neill. He was previously at Casarino Christman Shalk Ransom & Doss, where he represented civil defendants and insurance companies. Hendee earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School. He is admitted to both the New Jersey and Delaware bar.
Timothy M. Metzner, R.L.A., of Davis, Bowen & Friedel has been accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with a specialty in Neighborhood Development.
Ken Bleznak has joined CBRE’s Radnor, Pennsylvania, office to serve as executive vice president, focusing on tenant representation and consulting services both nationally and in the greater Philadelphia region.
Jake Tanksley has been appointed vice president of human resources at Lincoln University. Tanksley will be the first vice president for human resources at Lincoln University. He comes to Lincoln with more than 25 years of leadership experience in higher education, manufacturing and the nonprofit sector.
