Travis S. Hunter, a director of Richards, Layton & Finger, has been selected as one of Law360’s Rising Stars for 2019. Hunter is one of only two Delaware lawyers to appear on the distinguished Law360 Rising Stars list, which recognizes the nation’s top attorneys under the age of 40.He litigates complex disputes involving business acquisitions, trade secrets, insurance, products liability, and intellectual property, with particular expertise handling large commercial disputes in the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division. He also represents clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings before the American Arbitration Association.
Sean Boston has joined M. Davis & Sons as engineering manager. Originally from Australia, Boston was the former CEO of A.E. Atherton & Sons, a 130-year-old company that specializes in the manufacturing and servicing of medical devices. Boston’s responsibilities will include sourcing shop fabrication opportunities and increasing the capacity for process design.
J. Michael Riemann, P.E. has been named to the Water Infrastructure Advisory Council (WIAC) for the State of Delaware. WIAC initiates, develops and recommends projects to the Delaware General Assembly for the planning, construction, repair, renovation, or expansion of drinking water and wastewater facilities. Riemann has 18 years of civil engineering experience and helps lead Becker Morgan
Group’s Delaware operations.
Cover & Rossiter has announced three new hires:
• Kate Hikins joined the firm in July as a senior accountant in the Tax department. Previously, she worked as the financial reporting supervisor at Boyer & Boyer in the areas of financial reporting and taxation. She recently passed the CPA exam.
• Ali Ikram joined the Audit department in June as a staff accountant after graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Goldey-Beacom College.
• Daniel Eissmann has been hired as a staff accountant in the Audit Department after working as an intern during his junior and senior years at
the University of Delaware.
Robert A. Damron, APMA, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Wilmington, was named to the list of “Forbes Best-in-State Next-Generation Wealth Advisors” published by Forbes Magazine. Damron was chosen based on assets under management, industry experience, regulatory and compliance record and revenue produced over a three-year period. Damron is part of Orth Financial Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.
St. Francis Healthcare has added two new Family Medicine physicians to its Foulk Road staff:
• Aaron Weaver, D.O., received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Weaver earned a master’s degree in exercise physiology at Temple University in Philadelphia.
• Elizabeth C. Ebueng, M.D., received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Martin, Netherland Antilles. She completed her residency in family and community medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Ebueng serves as associate director of the St. Francis Family Medicine residency program. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Stephanie Smiertka Riley has joined Connolly Gallagher LLP in its commercial and intellectual property litigation practice as an associate.
Her complex commercial litigation experience extends to both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes, consumer protection claims, and pharmaceutical and medical device multi-district litigations. She graduated from The George Washington University School of Law.
Dan Slagle has been named executive director of Rehoboth Beach Main Street Inc. Slagle comes to the Rehoboth Beach Main Street organization from The Spice & Tea Exchange in Rehoboth Beach, where he was the store manager of the chain’s top store nationwide over the past four years.
Jonathan M. Pratt has been named president of New Castle-based TA Instruments and a senior vice president of Waters Corp. TA Instruments designs, manufactures, and supports premier thermal analysis, rheology, microcalorimetry, and mechanical testing technologies for the material and life science industries.
Christopher L. Cullen, AIA, Kevin M. Shertz, AIA, and Andrew E. Welch, P.E. of Davis, Bowen & Friedel Inc. (DBF) have been certified as Building Evaluators in the nationally recognized Safety Assessment Program (SAP) by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The program provides training for professional architects, engineers and certified building inspectors, allowing them to evaluate the safety of buildings and infrastructure affected by natural disasters.
