Ana Collins has been promoted to project manager from project engineer at Wohlson Construction Co. in Wilmington. Collins began her career 10 years ago as a project engineer in residential construction and has since been working in commercial construction.

Lisa Coldiron has become the inaugural Head of School for the new Sussex Montessori School. Coldiron has deep community ties to western Sussex County through her work as the Sussex County director of the acclaimed Read Aloud Delaware program, and most recently as the Sussex County Health Coalition grant manager. At Sussex Montessori, Coldiron will take the reins of a new public charter elementary school for grades K-6, scheduled to open in the fall of 2020.


Kali Voshell joins the state staff of the Delaware Farm Bureau as program and foundation coordinator. She will manage the Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation, serve as National Ag in the Classroom contact and as Young Farmers and Ranchers staff coordinator.


The Delaware Humanities has added four new board members:

Brandon Harper is an attorney in Wilmington at the law firm Connolly Gallagher LLP, and his practice focuses primarily on corporate and commercial litigation.

Joan Hoge-North has worked for 25 years in the nonprofit sector, first in the museum field before joining the Delaware Community Foundation in 2017. Joan has served on many different boards including the Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Delaware Preservation Review Board, the Forum for Executive Women and the board of Wilmington Rotary club where she has been a member for the past 16 years.

Richard Claypoole has spent the majority of his professional career at the National Archives, serving as the Director of the Office of the Federal Register, Assistant Archivist for Regional Archives and Records Centers, and as Assistant Archivist for Presidential Libraries and Museums. Richard is currently the chair of the Endowment Committee of the Lewes Historical Society.

George Tzanis, M.D. is a medical doctor who serves as Chief of Staff at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. George has held numerous positions at hospitals in Delaware and Pennsylvania.


Julia Seeley, APRN, has joined the Nanticoke Immediate Care staff of the Nanticoke Physician Network. Seeley is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and has 16 years of professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner.


Wendy Rafferty, Mitchell Byerly and Cheyenne Tucker have been promoted by Cover & Rossiter.

Rafferty was promoted to supervisor in the Business Accounting Services department. She joined Cover & Rossiter in July 2013. Prior to that, she was owner of Affordable Business Solutions Inc., where she provided accounting and payroll services to small businesses.

Byerly was promoted to senior accountant in the Tax department. Byerly joined Cover & Rossiter in January 2019 after working one year at a CPA accounting firm in Baltimore. 

Tucker was promoted to senior accountant in the Audit department. Tucker joined Cover & Rossiter
in November 2017.

Gary Cimaglia has been named the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association’s new Executive Director. Cimaglia comes to DIAA from his previous role as senior director of sports for Special Olympics Delaware. He will replace Tommie Neubauer, who announced his retirement earlier this year after taking the position in 2016. Cimaglia joins DIAA full time after serving as a board member since 2014, including working as chair of the rules and regulations committee since 2016.


Denai Wolfe of The Chic CFO has been appointed chief financial officer of The Cleaning Girl Inc. Wolfe has been working alongside the company since 2017 as a bookkeeper and franchise consultant. In this role, she will lead the company’s finance strategy and oversee its financial operations, including budgeting and planning, treasury, accounting, tax, reporting and investor relation functions.


SoDel Concepts, a Rehoboth Beach-based hospitality company, recently announced that two employees have won awards from Coastal Style Magazine:

“¢ Kat Alberta, a bartender at NorthEast Seafood Kitchen, was named Best Bartender in Sussex County.

“¢ Jonathon Kurgansky, a server at Bluecoast Seafood Grill + Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach, was named Best Waiter in Sussex County.


The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation has named new board members:

“¢ Michele Whetzel, President, is the President of Revise LLC. Michele also serves on the State of Delaware’s Public Integrity Commission and has been an active volunteer for over 25 years, serving on the Fund for Women Board for 10 years, including two years as chair of the organization. She has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Delaware.

“¢ Kelsey Callaghan, Assistant Treasurer, is a CPA at Albero, Kupferman & Associates working in tax planning and compliance for small businesses and individuals. She is a graduate of Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University and also earned a master’s degree in professional taxation from Fordham University.

“¢ Valerie Middlebrooks, Treasurer, is a Principal with Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A. Her business degree is from the University of Wisconsin. Valerie is past president of the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants, and she served on the Fund for Women Board as Treasurer.

“¢ Kimberly Reid, VP of Marketing & Communications, originally joined the Fresh Start family in 2018 as a member of the Advisory Board. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University. Kimberly is a volunteer with Junior Achievement of Delaware.

“¢ Betty Sweeny, Secretary, is President and CEO of Business Development Associates Inc. She has served on the boards of the Bayard House, the Delaware Chapter of the MS Society, and the Forum of Executive Women. Her bachelor’s degree in consumer economics is from the University of Delaware.


Meghan A. Adams has been confirmed by the Delaware Senate to serve as a judge of the Superior Court of Delaware. Adams has been a member of Morris James LLP’s Business Litigation group since 2014 and focused her practice on corporate and commercial litigation. She has represented clients in a wide variety of matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Delaware Superior Court, Complex Commercial Litigation Division, Supreme Court of Delaware and the District of Delaware. She is also the incoming president of the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court, an organization dedicated to improving the skills, professionalism and ethics of the Delaware bench and bar.
