Dr. Sameh Hall and Dr. Videhi Patel have joined Beebe Medical Group in Rehoboth Beach.
“Sussex County and Beebe Healthcare are growing together, and its Beebe Medical Group’s goal to create more access to primary care physicians, that’s why we are excited to announce Drs. Sameh Hall and Videhi Patel have joined Beebe Medical Group,” said Bobby Gulab chief medical officer of Beebe Medical Group. “Please join me in welcoming them to Sussex County. I know they are excited to start seeing patients and serve the community.”
Dr. Hall completed his residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, after receiving his medical degree from the Aureus University School of Medicine in Aruba. Dr. Hall also has a bachelor’s in chemical engineering and wrote a thesis in environmental sciences focusing on pollution reduction.
Dr. Patel received her medical degree from the American University of Antigua School of Medicine. After completing her residency at the Williamsport Family Medicine Residency Center, Dr. Patel joined Nazareth Family Practice of the St. Luke’s Physician Group before joining Beebe.
Dave Anderson has been appointed as the new executive vice president & chief financial officer of Corteva, Inc. Anderson has a track record of providing financial leadership in complex, global companies to support value creation. In this role, he succeeds Greg Friedman who is retiring from Corteva.
Anderson has focused on establishing finance functions that enable ongoing investment in growth initiatives while driving returns and value creation for shareholders. He spent more than a decade as chief financial officer of Honeywell, through 2014. Since then, he has held the chief financial officer role at other market-leading companies, with a focus on establishing strong finance functions, cost structures, capital allocation programs, and solid foundations for growth.

Frederick “Fritz” Jones has been appointed executive director of Catholic Charities Inc. of the Diocese of Wilmington. Jones has been a leader in Catholic Charities for 43 years, most recently as director of program operations.
During his tenure, Jones has reorganized the Behavioral Health Program resulting in increased productivity, integration of the residential maternity home into a Catholic Charities program adding services to new mothers, and reinstatement of the Substance Abuse Counseling Licensure Program.
Jones has served the community in many ways including as a member of the Counsel of United Way Executives Designee for Catholic Charities, the Wilmington Planning Commission, and the City of Wilmington Economic Development Committee. Other community groups include the Clarence Fraim Boys and Girls Club, Rockwood Museum, and as an Adjunct Instructor at Delaware Technical and Community College.
Mark Benzin has joined Solutions IPEM as a Survey Project Manager. Benzin has over 35 years of experience as a surveyor and project manager on the Delmarva. In his role, Benzin will coordinate the operations of the field crews, maintain scheduling and project management. His experience includes boundary, topographic, location and ALTA surveys, forest conservation plans, site and grading plans, stormwater management plans, construction stake out and as-builts. He has worked on major residential projects, mixed use projects, large commercial projects as well as major and minor roadways.
Some of Mark’s notable projects include: The Peninsula, Seagull Square at Salisbury University, Residence Inn, Country Inns & Suites and Aloft Hotels – Ocean City and the Fairfield Inn – Rehoboth.
Casey M. Husfelt has been promoted to executive director of the Clarence Fraim Center for Active Adults.
Born and raised in Delaware, Husfelt attended St. Marks High School and is a graduate of the University of Delaware receiving his bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science.
He first joined the Fraim Center as a part time fitness coordinator in 2012, and assumed in subsequent years responsibilities for aquatics, physical education, and operations.
“We are fortunate to have such a committed and skilled individual running the Fraim Center” states Murphy Marbury, Board Chairman of the Fraim Center. “Casey is well liked and respected” he added.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has selected Payroll Manager, Karen Nelson as one of this year’s “Joseph Dulin Staff of the Year” award recipients. Karen joined the Boys & Girls of Delaware in 2017 as a Payroll Specialist and was promoted to the Payroll Manager in 2019. This annual, statewide honor goes to the staff person, who exemplifies the attributes embodied in Joseph Dulin,
Karen’s nominations from colleagues focused on her consistent “above and beyond” performance. The changes over the last year as it relates to benefits, pay and operations that impacted the one person payroll department were especially challenging. Challenges in which Karen exceeded expectations and always met the numerous deadlines. Karen works closely with the Finance and Human Resources teams and is an asset to both areas and all of the employees across the state. The behind the scenes support of our staff allow their focus to always remain on the needs of the youth of Delaware who are served daily in our clubs.
Karen joined the Boys and Girls Clubs with 10+ years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll Processing. She consistently makes time for professional development which often results in a positive financial impact for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware which ultimately results in being better able to serve the your of Delaware.
