Carla Stone, president of World Trade Center Delaware, has been invited to join the World Bank Group’s Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) network. This voluntary network, which comprises over 150 business intermediary organizations in more than 95 countries, is designed to facilitate the World Bank Group’s engagement with the private sector.
Julie Sulzbacher Russ has been named president of Delaware Shakespeare, succeeding Nancy B. Lynch, who has led the organization since it was formed in 2005. Russ is also a branch ambassador for Hike it Baby Delaware and served for the past 15 years as an advisor to the YMCA Youth in Government program. She is also a member of the Delaware Women’s Suffrage Centennial Committee and serves on the Delaware Nature Society Advocacy Committee.
In addition, Delaware Shakespeare named three people to its board:
- Susan Guariano is an administrative vice president at Wilmington Trust. She participates in the University of Delaware Lerner Executive Mentoring Program, and the Easter Seals Assistive Technology Loan Advisory Committee, among other organizations.
- Faith Meisinger-Petit is director of product management and operations at CSC and is a Mayoral appointee to the Wilmington Ethics Commission, as well as a board member of Communities in Schools Delaware and Junior League of Wilmington.
- Matt Sullivan has returned to Del Shakes in a board capacity. He left the company to become the director of creative operations for Short Order Production House. He serves on the marketing advisory board for The Grand Opera House, and the audience and government relations advisory committees for OperaDelaware.
Joseph (Joe) Daigle II, CFEI, has been named CEO of Newark-based Mallard Financial Partners. Since joining the company in 2016, Joe has spearheaded major strategy and technology shifts and serves on the investment committee and as lead investment analyst. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Delaware.
Christopher Burgos, president of Diamond State Financial Group in Newark, has been honored as a recipient of AssetMark’s seventh annual Community Inspiration Award. AssetMark, Inc., a leading provider of innovative investment and technology solutions, created this award to honor financial advisors who work with local nonprofits to create brighter futures and promote long lasting, positive change. AssetMark has donated $10,000 to Cancer Support Community Delaware in support of Burgos’ continued commitment to his local charity and his community.
Jacob Yates of Diamond State Financial Group in Newark has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. The CFP® designation is awarded to experienced candidates who complete a prescribed program of study and a 10-hour comprehensive exam and fulfill certain ethical and professional experience requirements.
Amy Nazdrowicz, PWS, an environmental scientist/ecologist at Landmark Science & Engineering in Newark, has earned certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS). Amy joins an exclusive group of just 14 other certified professionals in all of Delaware, few of whom work in the private sector, who have achieved this level of professional recognition. She is also known as Delaware’s only resident Qualified Bog Turtle Surveyor. Nazdrowicz heads up Landmark’s natural environmental sciences division.
Kyle C. Rheiner, CIC has joined Arthur Hall Insurance as food and beverage practice leader and account executive. Kyle has been a Philadelphia Magazine Five Star Insurance Professional for the past six years and is one of 35 agents in the USA to be named to Insurance Business Magazine’s “Young Guns of 2018.”
Brandon Heggan, CPA of Santora CPA Group in Newark has won the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) prestigious 2019 Elijah Watt Sells Award. To qualify for the award, CPA candidates must obtain a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, pass all four sections on their first attempt, and have completed testing in 2019.
Lori Brennan has been named the new executive director of the Nature Conservancy in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Brennan has more than 20 years of experience working with a variety of regional and national nonprofit organizations and most recently served as senior director of CCS Fundraising in Philadelphia.
John Thomas, branch manager of Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., has been recognized by Mortgage Executive magazine as a recipient of its 2019 Top 1% Loan Originators in America award.
