- Brya M. Keilson has joined Morris James’ Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group in the Wilmington office. Brya counsels clients on commercial bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters, representing Chapter 11 debtors, insurers in all facets of bankruptcy-related issues, creditors’ committees, liquidating trustees, trade creditors and financial institutions, purchasers of assets, and both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous avoidance actions, including preference and fraudulent transfer actions. Prior to joining Morris James, Brya was a trial attorney in the Office of the U.S. Trustee where she represented the U.S. Trustee for Region 3 in Chapter 11 and 7 cases pending in Delaware. She earned her J.D. in 2004 from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a staff writer and managing editor of the Villanova Law Review.
- Geoffrey Rogers and Richard Walsh have been named to The Nemours Foundation Board of Directors. Rogers is regional managing director for Glenmede Trust Company in Wilmington and Walsh is chairman and CEO of the Knob Hill Companies, a media, investment and strategic consulting firm in Orlando, Florida.
- Rogers oversees the day-to-day operations of Glenmede’s Delaware office, which he launched in June 1999. He brings more than three decades of estate planning and financial services experience to this position. Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Rogers was a vice president for Scudder Private Investment Counsel, responsible for new business development. In addition to being a member of Nemours’ Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust, he has also served as a vice president with the Wilmington Trust and Delaware Trust Companies, now operating as Wells Fargo. He is a member of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Nominating Committee, a board member of Washington College, Winterthur Museum (emeritus), Operation Warm and the Delaware Business Roundtable.

Cheryle Russo Russo is an executive vice president at PNC Bank and retail market manager for Philadelphia, Delaware and Southern New Jersey, where she provides executive leadership for more than 1,200 colleagues in 169 branches. Russo has been recognized for her outstanding community involvement and is a recipient of PNC Bank’s Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Delaware and a master’s in education leadership from Wilmington University.

Wendy Carpenter Carpenter, a graduate of the University of Delaware, has 14 years of experience in transportation enhancement, foundation design and overall project cost estimation. Her current role at DBF includes site access design, preparing traffic impact studies (TIS), traffic operation analysis (TOA), signal warrant analysis, submitting traffic signal designs, traffic management plans (TMP) and coordinating various traffic related issues with DelDOT, Maryland SHA and other local jurisdictions.

Steven Nichols Nichols, a graduate of New York’s Rochester Institute of Technology, relocated to the Salisbury area in 2014. Experienced with water and wastewater design implementation, site design, site layout, grading, utility layout/design, and the development of construction documents, he has performed on-site inspections and reporting, site surveys and stakeouts, investigative field work, and construction phase documentation for a variety of projects on the Eastern Shore. Nichols is also a registered professional engineer in the state of New York and the state of Maryland and is a member of the American Society of
Civil Engineers.

Joseph O Larkin Wilmington litigator Joseph O. Larkin has been promoted to partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Larkin focuses his practice on litigation and corporate restructuring, handling matters including mergers and acquisitions, controlling stockholder going-private transactions, hostile takeovers and proxy contests. He received his Juris Doctor from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. Prior to working at Skadden, he served as a law clerk to U.S. District Senior Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
- Julianne Bailey of Wilmington, a senior strategic database specialist, was recognized by Delmarva Power, which honored five top volunteers at its Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony. Bailey, who has worked at Delmarva Power for five years, was recognized for her work with Odyssey of the Mind, Delaware. She helps coordinate the organization’s local creative problem-solving programs for area students, helping them build self-confidence and develop strong life skills.

- Beatrice “Bebe” Coker, a longtime advocate for quality public education for all children, will receive the John H. Taylor Jr. Education Leadership award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and its education affiliate, The Partnership Inc., at the Superstars in Education Reception & Awards Ceremony on May 13.
- Widener University Delaware Law School student Joseph D. Farris III has been selected by the American College of Bankruptcy as its 2019 Distinguished Law Student for the Third Circuit. The award is given to a student with outstanding academic credentials and an interest in bankruptcy law.

Dawn Tartaglione Dawn Tartaglione has been named the new medical director of Bayhealth Neurosurgery. She previously was an attending neurosurgeon with Alliance Health Midwest in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and chief of neurosurgery at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Go Red encourages every woman to take charge of her heart health and combat the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of American women, heart disease and stroke.
Mike DiPaolo - Mike DiPaolo has become vice president for southern Delaware for the Delaware Community foundation, working out of the agency’s Georgetown office. He was formerly the executive director at the Lewes Historical Society for 17 years.

Hugh Broomall Hugh Broomall of Newark has been named chair of Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program. The chair is an official DOD volunteer position. He will serve under with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. The position carries a three-year term and is the equivalent of a military two-star officer under DOD protocol. Broomall retired from the Delaware Air National Guard as a major general after 45 years of service. He holds a doctoral degree in business administration from Wilmington University, where he is an adjunct professor teaching graduate-level business courses. Broomall is also director of compliance, ethics and strategy for a local software integration firm.

Joseph L. Christensen Joseph L. Christensen has joined McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler as of counsel in the corporate litigation practice. Christensen advises on mergers, acquisitions and other transactional matters and represents plaintiffs and defendants as lead counsel and local Delaware counsel, operating in the Delaware Court of Chancery and other Delaware courts.

Nicolas E. Jenner Nicolas E. Jenner has joined Wilmington-based Landis Rath & Cobb as an associate with a focus on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring, bankruptcy litigation and corporate litigation. Jenner attended Widener University Delaware Law School, focusing on corporate and business law. During his time there, he worked with Delaware Supreme Court Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr. as a Josiah Oliver Wolcott Fellow and with U.S. District Judge Leonard P. Stark of the District of Delaware as a judicial intern.
