Ray Kumm has been named executive chef at Lupo Italian Kitchen in Rehoboth Beach, one of SoDel Concepts’ 11 restaurants in coastal Delaware. Kumm, a native of Baltimore County, Maryland, has more than 10 years of experience in high-end restaurants, including establishments in Baltimore and Chicago. He was previously the sous chef at Sotto Sopra, a top-rated Italian restaurant in Baltimore.

Dr. Nicholas J. Petrelli, M.D., FACS, medical director of the Helen Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute, will receive the Tilton Award on Oct. 4. Petrelli is recognized both nationally and internationally as an expert on colorectal cancer. Good Housekeeping and American Health magazines listed him among the best doctors in the nation and as one of the top 100 cancer physicians in the United States. The Tilton Award recognizes medical achievement in Delaware, and is hosted by the Tilton Mansion and the Medical Society of Delaware.

The Honorable Kevin J. Carey, who retired in August from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, has joined global law firm Hogan Lovells in Philadelphia as a partner in its Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice.

Kathleen Rutherford has become communications director for the Delaware Republican Party. In this role, she will drive the party’s social media content and maintain a newly revitalized website. She has more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the private and public sectors. 

Matt Stehl has been named regional manager of charitable contributions for M&T Bank in Delaware, replacing Joe Yacyshyn, who is retiring after 45 years of service in the Delaware region. Stehl is the former communications manager for Highmark Delaware.

Kunal Agarwal, M.D., of Nanticoke Health Services presented a lecture on obstructive sleep apnea at the Family Medicine Experience (FMX) Conference in Philadelphia last month. FMX is the American Academy of Family Physician’s largest annual meeting with more than 5,000 physicians in attendance.

Greg Ferzetti has purchased one of the largest Allstate Insurance agencies in the state, assuming responsibility for about $4.5 million in premiums covering 2,300 households. The new agency is located in the Independence Mall on Concord Pike. Ferzetti previously worked with AR Morris Jewelers at both of its locations for more than eight years in sales and as its repair department manager and, for the past two years, with an Allstate agency owned by Kevin Hamill.

Steve McDermott has joined Heritage Financial Consultants LLC as a financial planner in the Wilmington office. McDermott is a former vice president and senior financial consultant
at M&T Securities,
the investment and insurance subsidiary of M&T Bank.

Dr. Marc D. Grobman has established a concierge medicine program at his practice, working with Castle Connolly Private Health Partners,
a membership-based practice conversion and support company. Grobman is a primary care physician serving Wilmington.

Steven A. Evans has joined SVN Commercial Real Estate as director of brokerage. He has spent 39 years in the poultry industry, most recently as president of Perdue Foods. He is also the former CEO of Allen Harim.

Greer Maneval has been named board president of Rehoboth Beach Main Street Inc. Maneval has been a member of several organizations including the Cape Business Network, the Cottage and Town Awards for Rehoboth Beach Main Street, and is a past president of the Sussex County Genealogical Society.

Heather M. Leberstien of CSC has joined the board of directors to of Delaware College Scholars. Leberstien is a senior strategic human resources business partner at CSC, providing talent management services to CSC’s leaders and employees.

Family medicine doctor Shailly Saini, M.D., has joined Bayhealth Primary Care in Eden Hill. Dr. Saini recently completed her family medicine residency at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, part of the
Mercy Health System, in Boardman, Ohio.

Russell Heller has joined Burr & Forman’s Wilmington office as an associate. He’ll be working in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Practice Group, where he will work on bankruptcy and restructuring engagements. Heller has expertise representing creditors and corporate debtors in out-of-court restructuring and bankruptcy matters, including representing corporate debtors, unsecured creditors’ committees, and secured and unsecured lender groups in complex Chapter 11 cases.
