Bayhealth Stroke Care receives award
Bayhealth Stroke Care at Bayhealth Milford Memorial received the 2015 Get With The Guidelines Bronze Award® for the first quarter. The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association presented the award.
According to Stroke Care Coordinator Kimberly Holmes, this is the first time Bayhealth Milford Memorial received the quarterly award. Bayhealth Kent General received the honor in 2014.
“I’m very proud of the care that Bayhealth Milford Memorial provides from our Emergency Department and Diagnostic Imaging to our inpatient nursing units and especially to our rehabilitative services,” Holmes said. “Giving our stroke patients the best quality of life post-stroke is our number one goal.”
Riedle named SCAOR Realtor of the Year
Rehoboth Beach realtor Brad Riedle was named the Sussex County Association of Realtors (SCAOR)’s 2015 Realtor
of the Year.
Riedle served as SCAOR’s president in 2014 and will also serve as president of the Association in 2016.
“Not many individuals in recent memory have done more to advance southern Delaware’s real estate industry than our good friend Brad Riedle,” says Fred Dean, 2015 president of SCAOR. “Not only did he serve as president last year, but he also stepped up to the plate when we had a need for 2016. He’s an invaluable member of our organization and we’re thrilled he will represent Sussex County later this year in Dover.”
Riedle is eligible for the title of Delaware Realtor of the Year, which will be announced by the Delaware Association
of Realtors in October.

Robert E. Hagerty
Robert E. Hagerty was appointed a member of the Delaware Tech’s board of trustees. He has more than 30 years of experience in information technology and is the technology and managing director at J.P. Morgan Chase in Newark.
Geoffrey M. Rogers
Geoffrey M. Rogers was named to The Nemours Foundation Board of Directors. Rogers is a managing director with Glenmede Trust and director of the firm’s Wilmington office. He has more than 25 years of estate planning and financial services experience.
Christina MacMillan was named manager of supplier diversity at M. Davis & Sons, Inc. McMillan will work with diverse vendors to identify opportunities with M. Davis. She currently oversees the company’s accounting department.
Alan Levin, former cabinet secretary at the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO), was named senior advisor at SoDel Concepts, the restaurant and entertainment company founded by the late Matt Haley.
Bernice Whaley, former deputy director of DEDO, was confirmed by the State Senate to assume the DEDO cabinet secretary position vacated by Alan Levin.
Williams named NCC Realtor of the Year
Bayard Williams, a sales associate with the Wilmington office of Keller Williams Realty, was named New Castle County Realtor of the Year for 2015.
Williams is president-elect of the board of directors for the New Castle County Board of Realtors, where he chairs the public policy committee and serves on the finance committee.
He recently helped lead a group of about 40 county Realtors to Washington, D.C., where they spoke with Delaware’s legislators about issues affecting the local economy, including affordable home ownership and tax policies.
He is a director for the Delaware Association of Realtors and a member of the National Association of Realtors. Williams also is a member of the Associate Leadership Council at Keller Williams-Wilmington, where he chairs the finance committee.
Wohlsen earns two awards
Wohlsen Construction Company ranked #303 in The Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2015 Top 400 Contractors List. Advancing 14 spots from last year’s ranking.
The company also earned platinum level status in the National 2015 Safety Training and Evaluation Process award program of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The award recognized Wohlsen’s achievement in safety management excellence, highlighted by management commitment, a written safety program, and OSHA incidence rates consistently below established averages.

and quilting machines.
Hayes Sewing Machine Company has served Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Philadelphia, Delaware County, Chester County, and Southern New Jersey.
Trevor Hayes sold his first BERNINA 730 in July 1965, while in college.
He opened a Delaware store in 1975. Today, it has 23,000 customers, and
all repairs and service are performed on-site.
