The YMCA of Delaware named John Rice the new community executive director of the Dover YMCA. With over a decade of YMCA leadership experience, Rice brings a wealth of expertise in program innovation, staff development, and community engagement to his new role.

Rice’s YMCA journey began as a swim lesson volunteer at 12 years old, sparking a lifelong commitment to service and community influence. His YMCA career has since spanned various leadership positions, including Executive Director in Flint, Michigan; Director of Impact for Sleepaway Camps in New York; Association Program Director in New Jersey; and Teen & Camp Director in Philadelphia.

His commitment to equity and inclusion, shaped by experiences across four continents, reflects his dedication to advancing social justice and fostering stronger communities worldwide. A graduate of Springfield College, Rice holds a Bachelor of Science in Youth Development with a minor in YMCA Professional Studies. He also carries certifications in YMCA leadership, lifeguarding, and more.

“We are confident that John’s strategic leadership and passion for community impact will enhance the Dover YMCA’s role as a vital resource for individuals and families in the area,” LoriKay Paden, YMCA of Delaware community vice president, said “We look forward to the innovative programs and lasting connections he will bring to the Dover community.”

Recognized as a thought leader in youth development, Rice has shared his insights at numerous conferences, presenting on topics such as inclusive programming, staff training, and fostering member engagement.

“I am honored and excited to join the Dover YMCA as Community Executive Director,” Rice said. “The YMCA has been a cornerstone of my life since I was a young volunteer, and I am deeply passionate about its mission to empower individuals and strengthen communities. I look forward to working alongside the incredible staff, volunteers, and members of the Dover community to build innovative programs, foster inclusivity, and create opportunities for growth and connection.”

Outside of work, Rice enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, playing strategy games, and exploring creative hobbies. He is eager to collaborate with the dedicated staff, volunteers, and members of the Dover community to advance the YMCA’s mission of empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

Beebe Healthcare announced that board-certified urologist Christopher Caputo, MD, has joined its medical staff.

Some of the most common conditions Dr. Caputo treats include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), stone disease, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, and urologic cancers – including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular. Patients who require surgery benefit from his training in robotic and minimally invasive approaches to surgical care. These techniques typically streamline the surgical process of care, minimize the patient’s risk for complications, and allow for a quicker and more efficient recovery.

“I am excited to be part of Beebe, and to have an opportunity to serve the community with my skills as a robotic and minimally invasive surgeon,” Dr. Caputo said. “I am thrilled to be here.”

Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. Caputo worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UMPC) in Harrisburg, where he served as an attending urologist. He earned his medical degree at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and remained there to complete his internship in general surgery. Dr. Caputo completed residency training with a focus on urology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also located in Philadelphia. In the midst of his clinical training pursuits, he contributed to research projects, which led to industry presentation and publication opportunities.


Katrina Hansen, DO, FAAD will lead the Dermatology Partners, a privately-owned dermatology group, office in Hockessin.

A Delaware native, Dr. Hansen will provide a full range of dermatologic care, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services, to patients of all ages.

“As a physician-led dermatology group, Dermatology Partners shares my own vision for providing compassionate, personalized, and timely care to every patient,” Dr. Hansen said. “I’m excited to be part of a practice that employs the most advanced medicine and technology in its efforts to prioritize the unique needs of each individual we serve.”

Dr. Hansen is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Proficient in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Hansen’s goal when performing surgery is always to optimize scar appearance while taking appropriate steps to ensure safe removal of lesions. She also emphasizes achieving natural-looking results when utilizing neuromodulators (Botox) and filler.

Dr. Hansen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish from the University of Delaware. She received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her internship at North Carolina’s Sampson Regional Medical Center. She completed her dermatology residency at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where she served as chief resident in her final year.

M&T Bank Corporation announced the appointment of Krista Phillips as its first chief customer officer.

In this newly created role, Phillips will lead and unify M&T’s customer experience, marketing, and analytics teams, enhancing the bank’s ability to offer outstanding experiences in a rapidly evolving industry. Leveraging data and unique insights, she and her team will address a comprehensive range of customer needs and ensure consistent brand delivery across M&T’s footprint.

Phillips brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President leading consumer credit cards and enterprise marketing at Wells Fargo. Prior to that, she was Managing Director at Citi, where she held various senior roles, including Head of Brand Management, Advertising, and Insights for the Global Consumer Bank, Head of Citi Cards Products, and Product Director of Co-brands and Loyalty.

“I am thrilled to join M&T Bank and take on the role of Chief Customer Officer,” Phillips said. “This position is particularly meaningful to me because it aligns with my passion for enhancing customer experiences and leveraging data-driven insights to meet our customers’ needs. I look forward to leading the talented teams at M&T and driving forward our commitment to putting customers at the heart of everything we do.”

Phillips reports to Chris Kay and is based in Wilmington, DE. She is also a member of M&T Bank’s Executive Leadership Team.


Morris Nichols named William P. Michelson, CPA the chief financial officer.

Michelson joined Morris Nichols in 2013, and most-recently held the position of Director of Finance, working closely with firm leadership to develop and execute financial and strategic objectives.

“Will has been a valued Morris Nichols team member for 10 years now,” Bill Lafferty, chair of the firm’s executive committee, said, “and a key contributor to the firm’s success and growth. In his tenure at Morris Nichols, Michelson has overseen all aspects of Morris Nichols’ financial operations. An experienced financial systems administrator, he led the integration of multiple technological solutions to streamline financial processes and enhance business efficiency.

Michelson is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his MBA from West Chester University, and BS in finance from Northern Illinois University. Prior to joining Morris Nichols, he gained experience in a range of positions for both regional and global law firms.

Rusk also is a member of the Corporate Litigation Group. He focuses his practice primarily on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery, including breach of fiduciary duty actions, busted deal litigation, breach of contract claims, alternative entity litigation, and statutory proceedings under the Delaware General Corporation Law. He received his J.D. (with high honors) from the University of Washington School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (with college honors) from Washington University in St. Louis.
