DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware officials are close to signing off on a request by poultry producer Allen Harim Foods for some $11 million in state loans.
Members of the Water Infrastructure Advisory Council were expected to give their final approval for the loans at a meeting Wednesday, after giving conditional approval at the panel’s previous meeting. Environmental secretary David Small is responsible for the final decision.
The company wants to draw about $8.3 million from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to upgrade and expand the wastewater plant at its Harbeson processing facility.
Harim also is seeking a $3.2 million loan for a wastewater reuse project.
