NEWARK — A New Jersey home exterior remodeling firm has bought a long-empty warehouse on Casho Mill Road as part of its first stage to tap into the Delaware and Baltimore markets.
Elevated Remodeling recently cut the ribbon on 1500 Casho Mill Road to move 100 employees from its operations in Pennsville, N.J. Founded by Brandon DiBartolo, the company specializes in windows, roofs, siding, gutters and doors.
The 21,000 square foot building used to house the trade group International Fresh Produce Association until the organization moved out. Elevated Remodeling bought the building for $2.6 million on May 15. The broker for the deal was Patterson-Swartz Real Estate.
“We moved to Delaware because it was about the area more than anything,” DiBartolo told Delaware Business Times. “If you cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge, Pennsville is right there. Southern New Jersey is extremely rural and we were on the outside of our territory.”
In 2019, DiBartolo started Elevated Remodeling in his parents’ garage in Carneys Point the same location where his great-grandfather, a famed tradesman who helped repave the Delaware Memorial Bridge, started his. His sister and his cousin later joined to help expand the company to serve Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
Elevated Remodeling eventually moved to an old bank in Pennsville in 2021 and later out of the state. Revenue is projected to end around $24 million a year. The company depends on hiring canvas workers to hit neighborhoods to see if homeowners are ready for an upgrade.
DiBartolo spent years in the exterior remodeling business before striking out on his own. He credits his years of experience as well as his team’s quick study of the methods.
“We’re always updating what we’re learning, our processes change over time and become more detailed,” he said. “People are also staying home more and that’s 1,000% pushing the desire to remodel right now, especially in northern Delaware. Middletown is really booming.”
Within two miles of University of Delaware, DiBartolo hopes that he can tap into a larger workforce for the marketing and canvas team than what was available in Salem County, N.J. But for right now, the new office gives his team access to Baltimore County in Maryland through Interstate 95 while maintaining ties to New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Elevated Remodeling plans to open a Baltimore office in 2025 and a New York office in 2026.
