New Castle County is calling in the warmer weather with the reopening of five county-sponsored farmers markets. These outdoor markets give local farmers and vendors a chance to sell their products, while providing residents with healthy food options.

“Farm to table will make you grow strong and able,” County Executive Matt Meyer said. “Support our local economy by visiting your neighborhood farmers market today.”

A number of local partners – including UD Cooperative Extension, Delaware Nature Society, New Castle County Conservation District, and Westside Medical will use the sites for educational programming.

Each location will operate one day a week through October. New Castle County offers a weekly e-newsletter for updates and product information.
