Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a whiskey tasting hosted by the Riverfront Wilmington’s own Veritas Wine & Craft Beer during an evening of smart conversation and networking at DCCA, 200 S. Madison, with speaker Andy McWilliams, a Technologist at ThoughtWorks and Founder and Director of Art-A-Hack and Hardware Hack Lab.

Artists are often the first to explore emerging technology, and the implications for culture, business and society. In this talk, McWilliams will look at case studies from Art-A-Hack, a collaborative research-in-action program teaming artists and technologists together to make something new.

Technology-driven innovations are already causing large-scale disruptions in once-secure industries. How will things change when today’s beta technologies hit the mainstream? What happens when brainwave sensors, self-driving cars, and augmented reality interfaces become the norm?
