The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce (NCCCC) has named Deborah Mannis-Gardner, president of DMC Clearances, Inc., the 2016 Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year. The honor comes as the NCCCC prepares to host its 26th Annual Entrepreneurial & Business Women’s Expo Nov. 17 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.
This expo is designed to motivate and inspire all business women by providing exciting networking opportunities, as well as educational workshops and programs. More than 120 exhibitors will be on hand for over 800 expected attendees.
“This expo gets bigger and better every year,” said NCCCC President Mark Kleinschmidt. “This is one of our most popular events because it provides educational and motivational opportunities for attendees while expanding foot traffic for sponsors and vendors.”
Mannis-Gardner has been a business owner in the music industry for 25 years. She is a resident of Hockessin, and established DMG Clearances, Inc., a nationally renowned company that protects the licensing and recording rights for top labels such as Atlantic Records, Sony Music, and Capitol Records.
DMG Clearance, Inc. has acquired record clearing samples, or permission, for award-winning musical artists like Beyoncé, Led Zeppelin, and John Legend. Mannis-Gardner also has gained recognition in the video games, featured films, DVDs, and television industries. She most recently secured the music for the blockbuster Broadway hit “Hamilton.”
The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more details about registration and sponsorship opportunities visit www.ncccc.com.
