Megabus has tallied the votes from its name-the-bus contest and christened its new Delaware bus the Blue Hen.
The bus company held a contest to name the express buses that serve Delaware, Washington, D.C. and 34 additional states. “Blue Hen” beat “The Diamond State” and “The First State.”
The newly painted bus will be unveiled in a couple months, a company spokeswoman said.

Other states’ winners include Abraham Lincoln for Illinois, the Boston Tea Party for Massachusetts, the Golden Gate Bridge for California, the St. Louis Arch for Missouri, the Empire State Building for New York and a big hunk of cheese for Wisconsin.
