Medical marijuana dispensary opens in Lewes with 17 local varieties

First State Compassion Center will open its second license medical marijuana facility in Lewes today, offering 17 Delaware-grown cannabis strains.

First State, which operates Delaware’s first licensed facility in Wilmington, will operate its second at 12000 Old Vine Boulevard in The Vineyards in Lewes.

The 4,000-square-foot dispensary will be open Monday through Saturday. Weekday hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PM weekdays and 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturdays, closed on Sundays. In addition to 17 Delaware-grown cannabis strains, the center will offer capsules, concentrates, oils, tinctures, pre-rolls, topicals, accessories, gear, sublinguals and mints. According to a company press release, the most popular strains in their Wilmington center are Pineapple Fields, Hollywood Haze and Lemon Haze, all Sativa dominant for an uplifting feeling, and MK Ultra and Kosher Kush, both Indica dominant for a restful effect.
