Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki last night released his FY 2018 budget proposal. The plan includes a 7.5 percent property tax hike and sewer and water rate hikes,
It also proposes personnel cuts equivalent to about 28 full-time positions, leading to $2.5 million in savings.
The operating budget expenditures total $154,132,645, an increase of $94,005 over FY 2017.

The proposal will lead to $3 million in additional revenue in 2018, according to Purzycki.
